eymergeddon shakes up landlocked E.A. Davis

USS Eymergeddon with snow man and 4 seasick elves The town of Wellesley Massachusetts may never be the same, following the invasion of eymergeddon and Vineyard Vines at retailer E.A. Davis during Saturday's Trunk Show. Business was brisk and the holiday spirits were jumping. For clarification sake, eymergeddon was selling the festive pirate wear. Vineyard Vines was pushing the pink whales. Sorry we missed you. See you soon. pictured here :: designer Bruce Macindoe and his wife, photographer Sarah Evans.

Headbands Introduced

Eg_hdbnd_216 Eg_hdbnd_mdl_web_100

As an extension of the EYMERGEDDON product line, we have recently introduced festive fabric headbands, in the two traditional EYMERGEDDON motifs – the Flaming Skull and the Hula Skull.

They look great, are adjusted so that they only provide the right amount of cranial pressure, and are guaranteed to help keep your hair out of your eyes. What more could one want from a high-quality, yet functional, hair adornment?

Two boys in a boat.

2_boys_2 The USS EYMERGEDDON, is our version of the Oscar Mayer WeinerMobile. Besides being a 4 horsepower enabler of island-hopping and treasure hunting, the wooden skiff is our traveling retail display. In early autumn, the boat will be pulled from beautiful Cohasset Harbor and placed on its trailer – in order to travel to regional festivals, sporting events and trunk shows. Keep an eye out for us, winding along New England’s majestic shoreline.

As our Rob Skolnick, our chief retail advisor (and purveyor of E.A. Davis Department Store) likes to say, “EYMERGEDDON is all about two boys in a boat, on a hot summer’s day – laughing, exploring and just having fun!” -- Doug.

eymergeddon :: origins

Eymergeddon_hat Eymergeddon_hang_tagAt EYMER (formerly Eymer Design), our theory concerning self-promotion includes sending high-quality, American-made, and cool items to our good clients and hot prospects. Our mailings and holiday gifts have included Champion Heavyweight Sweatshirts, Zippo Lighters and industrial-strength Thermos bottles – as well as other objects of mass approval.

We are stubbornly determined to send items that will ultimately be transferred from the recipient’s office to there home. If it is an article of clothing, our goal was to have it end up as a weekend wardrobe item, donned while the wearer makes a Saturday run to the local donut shop.

In 1999, the whole world became caught up in Millennium-hype. Computers were going to crash, clock radios were plotting attacks, and the sky was about to come crashing down. We seized the tension and developed our own EYMERGEDDON Campaign – which included a “flaming skull motif.” Soon, the strikingly black EYMERGEDDON baseball hats began showing up in local restaurants, Little League fields and town waste transfer stations (the dump).

There are a few projects that we can credit to our sporadic global attack but one thing was for sure – we had developed something that had “legs!”

EYMERGEDDON is the product division of our marketing communications firm, EYMER.  In other words, our consultancy makes money as we toil through the workday and EYMERGEDDON makes money while we sleep (in theory).

EYMERGEDDON is about having fun and living life to the fullest. Please keep in touch, we try to come up with something interesting -- almost every day! – Doug.
